Our Leadership Team

Ravi Kalla
CEO
Ravi Kalla is a noted entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Symphony Corporation. Ravi believes in employing a rigorous process to every aspect of the company’s operations and engagements to bring predictability, transparency and cost saving to all Symphony clients.
Ravi has founded several other successful healthcare technology companies including WellStack. AI, Symphony Data (acquired by Apollo Health Street), SymphonyCare (acquired by Influence Health), HighFiveRx, and EmOpti, and Intellivisit. He is the Managing Director at SymphonyAlpha Ventures and a Partner at Blue Cloud Ventures (BCV). SymphonyAlpha Ventures provides investment for early-stage healthcare focused companies. BCV provides growth equity for late-stage Software-as-a-Service and enterprise software companies.
As an active investor and advisor, Ravi has also helped propel several cutting-edge health care technology and service companies. His portfolio of companies includes Strategic Health (acquired by American Health Holdings), Liazon Corporation (acquired by Towers Watson), Health Unity ( acquired by ZeOmega), Qik (acquired by Skype), Review Trackers, 411.ca (acquired by Yellow Pages), Iowa Waste Systems, and Allen.AI .
Previously he served in various executive and managerial roles at BFI and Superior Services, which is now known as Veolia. He also served on the Wisconsin Governor’s e-Health Care Quality and Patient Safety Board. Ravi received an M.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Maureen Smith MD,<br> PhD, MPH
Chief Clinical Data Officer
Dr. Smith leads and directs an organization’s clinical data and digital strategies, ensuring data quality, security, and accessibility to drive innovation, improve patient care, and achieve business objectives. Dr. Smith joined Symphony from a career spanning academic health systems and bespoke clinical data analytics company and numerous technology and software startup companies focused on health, technology and data mining blending insights and approaches across industries to solve complex human health problems at scale.
Dr. Smith’s is an also an accomplished teacher, mentor, and nationally recognized health service researcher. Over 20 years as a tenured professor at UW Medical School - Madison, Dr. Smith mentored 150+ graduate students and clinicians from multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
In 2006, Dr. Smith founded (launched) the Health Innovation Program to transform healthcare delivery and population health across the state and nation through health systems research that partners University of Wisconsin faculty with healthcare and community organizations. Over the past 15 years, HIP has supported over 980 faculty, staff, and students to achieve their research and career development that generated 710 peer-reviewed Articles supported by $551M in grants including NIH Clinical and Translational Research. HIPxChange includes toolkits to improve patient and family engagement in care, transitions in care, mental health, cancer screening and care, and chronic condition care. She also won numerous national awards including AHQR’s John M. Eisenberg Excellence in Mentorship Award in 2007.
Dr. Smith received MD and MPH degrees from Yale University School of Medicine, and a PhD from the University of Minnesota in Health Services Research, Policy and Administration in 1999.

Anant Baliga
Vice President<br> Strategic Development
Anant is the VP Strategic Development for Symphony. Anant has responsibility for strategic partnerships and ecosystem. In this role, Anant serves major clients across healthcare, pubic sector and education vertical, supporting them in their digital transformation journeys, and driving innovation at the intersection of AI, data, and new-age technologies. Prior to joining Symphony, Anant has worked with major high-tech and financial companies. In that role, he led partnerships, client relations, operations, and the commercial teams.

Gary Smith
Vice President <br> ERP & Managed Services
Gary Smith has spent the last 15 years of his 35-year IT career at Symphony. He started at Symphony as an ERP Implementer, and then grew into the role of Director for the entire ERP Practice. Gary works closely with the CEO and the Chief Revenue Officer to identify opportunities and assist the sales team throughout the sales cycle to help close new business and expand on existing client accounts. He manages the Symphony delivery team to ensure successful projects and client satisfaction. He coordinates with the Director of Finance and Human Resources to manage the team, ensuring proper use and utilization levels of the delivery team.
Gary’s IT career started as a developer working with financial systems, and continued with extensive work with HR/Payroll systems in 1985. Since joining Symphony he has been leading and managing ERP implementations for customers ranging from 300 employees to 500,000. Gary is originally from Edmonton, Alberta and earned his degree from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Brad Case
Senior Consultant<br> Value Based Care
Brad has more than 35 years leading innovation in healthcare strategy, finance, and care delivery. He brings extensive experience in clinical model design, consumer engagement strategies, and the integration of technology into the practice of medicine. Brad is passionate about achieving the Quadruple Aim through better and easier use of data in healthcare, including helping organizations to find analytic focus. Brad is dedicated to achieving accessible, equitable, innovative, person-centered, and high-performing health systems for all and caring for vulnerable populations. Brad has worked with health systems across the country to improve health outcomes, enhance patient experience, strengthen care provider engagement, and reduce costs of care.

Usha Shankar
CFO
Usha currently serves as Executive Vice President, Finance and HR responsible for Symphony’s global investment strategy and management, as well as its financial and HR operations. Her mission is to ensure the Symphony staff is healthy and happy and Symphony is on strong financial footing. Usha joined Symphony 1998 with several leadership roles in HR, Sales and Operations. Usha has developed a global and cohesive operations team. Usha also leads all aspects of people strategy at Symphony, guiding how the company attracts, develops, engages and rewards its diverse global workforce. Usha is focused on providing an exceptional associate experience for talent at all career stages and ensuring Symphony remains an employer of choice in the industry.
Usha holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science. When she’s not working, you may catch her on the national parks or enjoying walks at the local trails.

M.S Rao
Vice President <br>Global Delivery
M.S Rao is Vice President Delivery and Sourcing at Symphony. In this role, he is responsible for defining, building, and optimizing an organization’s global delivery capabilities, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery across multiple locations and regions.
Prior to Symphony, Rao spent nearly two decades at Tata Consultancy Services. He rose through the ranks, holding a variety of leadership roles across multiple geographies. Rao values the importance of corporate culture, talent and process in digital transformation and cultivates a culture that fosters innovation and delivers exceptional outcomes.
Rao is also recognized as a thought leader in providing innovative ERP-based process improvements and solutions for his clients and his leadership skills allowed him to successfully manage complex teams and projects. His experience include supply chain planning and execution specifically procurement, production, logistics/distribution, quality management, plant maintenance and warehouse management. His education and training in Computer Science is also instrumental in allowing him to effectively work in digital transformation.

C.S Rao
Managing Director<br> India Operations
C.S Rao is the Managing Director of India operations. He is a senior executive and technology leader with demonstrated expertise planning, designing, building, and operating exponentially growing networks and managing a fast-paced technology services company. He has a strong understanding of the relationship between technology and strategic business interests with a P&L mindset that has proven valuable in making multimillion-dollar investment decisions to grow the business while also driving per annum expense savings. He has a long track record of building high performing teams and managing to best in class benchmarks and performance metrics. Rao is a creative problem solver that leverages technology along with rigorous leadership to deliver YOY growth to the bottom line and improvement to operating efficiency. A respected team member with a broad base of experience that is relied upon for everything ranging from strategic planning and technology decisions to running a 24X7 operations team.

Nilesh Patil
Strategic Advisor
As an advisor, Nilesh has guided clients through complex transformations and bringing a global perspective on technology disruptions, customer trends, and industry convergence opportunities. He has a rich experience leading global professional services teams and helping businesses integrate technology and digital services to drive overall business growth. With over 18 years of success in managing technology, including 10 years in healthcare. He has helped multiple payers, providers, and health tech organizations realize data and digital technology solutions.

Ben Patel
Advisor
Ben Patel is a technology leader and visionary with proven experience in positioning institutions as preferred healthcare destinations, by leveraging disruptive technologies to create value and competitive advantage. Ben is an inspirational and transformational leader. Most recently, Ben Patel served as a CIO for Cone Health. Patel joined Cone Health in 2018 as senior vice president and chief information officer. He is noted for his ability to think broadly and strategically. Patel has more than 20 years of progressively responsible experience in information technology in health care. Patel earned his Master of Science degree in computer science from DePaul University and his Master of Business Administration from Pittsburgh State University. He is a sought-after speaker at national health care technology events.

Ganesh Laxminarayan
Strategic Advisor
Ganesh Laxminarayan is a seasoned technology executive and digital innovation strategist with extensive experience transforming healthcare and enterprise organizations. He has led the design, commercialization, and scaling of AI-powered platforms across clinical decision support, revenue cycle, and cybersecurity. Ganesh has partnered with leading healthcare organizations—including Cleveland Clinic, Providence, Rady Children’s, Valley Children’s, Bon Secours Mercy Health, Avera Health, and MultiCare—to co-develop digital health solutions that improve outcomes and reduce costs. His cross-sector expertise spans healthcare, life sciences, fintech, and compliance, with a focus on data governance, intelligent automation, and building scalable, secure, and future-ready technology ecosystems.

Kartheek Koneru
Principal <br>Process Improvement
Kartheek is a patient flow expert. He is process driven with deep expertise in Real Time Demand Capacity Management (RTDC). He has worked with over 10 health systems in the US and several internationally. Kartheek experienced leader passionate about helping people on a macro level by investigating better ways to deliver care via statistical analysis, quality outcomes, and patient flow. Kartheek is also the driving force behind their product strategy and had responsibility for many operating functions across the business.
Kartheek has designed proprietary tools and implementation model through rigorous testing and iterations with several leading health systems. Kartheek has MBA and a Bachelor’s in Economics.
