Symphony offers flexible co-sourced delivery models that include pay-for-performance and risk and reward models. Our delivery models are distinctly different from the traditional time and material consulting (“bill-until-you’re-broke”) and “low value” offshore factory type outsourcing models. Symphony has considerable experience and has been a front runner in fixed price engagements. Our clients pay a fixed price only when we meet specific milestones. Under our risk and reward model, Symphony invests and underwrites all or part of the cost and shares the project risk and rewards with our clients. By contrast, traditional partnership models do not share risks, pigeon-hole companies into captive proprietary systems, and cost substantially more. One or a combination of these business models can be tailored to offer the best value to each of our clients.
Symphony brings organizations the best of both worlds: Symphony’s global delivery model blends onsite, offsite and offshore resources, resulting in significant cost savings and time-to-market advantages for our clients. This global delivery model also allows Symphony to establish large project teams on an as-needed basis and to flexibly ramp up and down project teams without adding cost or compromising quality.

Under this shared sourcing model, Symphony acts as a complementary partner by investing and underwriting all or part of the cost and sharing the project risk and rewards with our clients. The underlying principle of this model is based on harmony, "wa", rather than conflict. In essence, we put our skin in the game.
How are we so confident? Experience. Symphony learned and refined its process to manage risk and reward relationships for over 13 years, working with a wide range of clients and technologies. Symphony has successfully delivered software products well ahead of the estimated timelines at considerably less cost. Our partnerships include established companies wanting to bring new products to market, emerging companies that are in need of technology conversion to meet growing market demands, and startup companies that are resource-constrained and lack processes, in-house infrastructure and expertise.

Symphony believes that clients should only pay for value that we have created for them. Our dedicated team model is specially meant for clients that are constrained by variable resource requirements. Our dedicated team model differs from traditional dedicated fixed number of seats models where unutilized time is passed on to the client. Our clients pay a fixed price and are only charged when the dedicated team members are productive and are delivering the required milestones. The model offers flexibility and reduced IT costs, reduced risk of cost overruns and provides clients immediate access to IT resources that are organized around their needs.
How do we pull this off and still ensure high quality deliverables? We leverage our experience, processes and our seasoned core team to hire, retain and train the required resources. Under this model, Symphony dedicates a core team of subject matter experts, specific product implementers, testers, developers and project leads to ensure knowledge retention and continuity. The core team is supplemented by flex resources to meet the work volume. The size of the flex resource can be reduced or increased to match the work load. A combination of training, management standards, and executive oversight help us implement our methodology or adopt our client’s methodology to provide high quality deliverables on time.
Dedicated Team Model Features:
- Serves along the lifecycle of software product development
- Training our employees on specific technologies and products at no cost to our clients for customization and installation services
- Ability to quickly respond to establishing a large project team on an as needed basis, enhancing flexibility without adding cost and not compromising the quality.
- Reduced cost of operations by reducing slack, and overheads
- Dedicated teams with long term focus. Enables knowledge retention
- Dedicated teams for R&D
